What is FORM?
Friends of Rockville Music (FORM) is a private charitable 501(c)(3) organization that supports the outstanding Instrumental, Choral and Marching Band programs that comprise the RHS Music Department.
In an era of limited resources and competing priorities, the arts do not receive the support needed to run the strong programs that our students deserve. FORM is comprised of parents, music teachers, and community members.
FORM supports RHS's Music Department with:
Financial Assistance - providing funds to the Music Department for expenses like instrument repair, sheet music, music festival entrance fees, concert accompanists, and for the various bands, orchestras, piano and guitar classes, choruses, jazz ensembles, Marching Band, advanced music classes and all extracurricular activities offered through the Music Department.
Providing Opportunities - for parents and community members to be involved in RHS' musical activities like in-school and offsite concerts, festivals, and field trips. The RHS Marching Band is also supported by the RHS Booster Club and, in recognition of this mutually supportive relationship, FORM encourages Marching Band parents to help with Booster Club fundraising events during athletic games and the annual Mulch Sale.
Advocacy - FORM is a voice for the role of music education in our school system and at our high school. As individuals who value the role of music education, we strive to make sure the message that school music programs help our students and communities is heard by those making the sometimes hard decisions.
We encourage all RHS parents and community members to become involved with FORM.
Dues are $20 per family per year (one (1) voting seat) and are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. JOIN FORM
