Time to Register for the DCYOP!

posted Jan 13, 2010, 4:38 AM by Phil Barnes

The DC Youth Orchestra Program is an amazing program providing music education to students wishing to learn a musical instrument.  The program provides classes and training to approximately 600 students ages 4 1/2 to 19 from throughout the DC Metropolitan area during after school (mostly Saturday) hours.  All students are accepted into the program regardless of ability and costs are kept low so that everyone can participate.  In the last 4 years, approximately 25% of the students have received free or subsidized tuition to participate.  For DC residents, the current early registration price comes out to $15 per week for the 15 week semester (for those paying full price.)

The DCYOP believes that learning music brings success to children.  Our mission is simple: "Music for Young People; Achievement for Life!"
