Sight Reading orchestra clinic at Landon School

posted Jan 19, 2010, 5:51 AM by Phil Barnes

This is a great opportunity for anyone who would like to get some extra playing experience without a long-term commitment!

Hello Colleagues

Herewith is a reminder of our next Landon Sight Reading orchestra session, Tuesday February 2, 7:00PM at Landon. Repertoire for the evening will include the Prelude to “Carmen,” Dvorak Carnival Overture and The New World Symphony. Please tell your friends and fellow orchestra directors. We can always use more strings.

The sessions are open to High School juniors and seniors, adult amateurs, or to your students who you think are ready to benefit from playing this kind of orchestral repertoire. There are professionals in all the sections who are more than willing to mentor and help those who are new.

If you would be so kind, please cc me so we can plan accordingly the seating and the music.

Looking forward to another great session.

Dr. S.
