“It’s the most wonderful time of the year,” it’s time for Rockville High’s Music Concerts.
Thursday, December 10 at 7:30- Symphonic, Concert and Marching Bands perform
Tuesday, December 15- the Chorus, Jazz Ensemble and Orchestra perform
On both days, help is needed in numerous ways.
First and foremost we need volunteers to work as stagehands and as room monitors. Then we need bake sale bakers and helpers.
Stage Hands- Need 4 for each night-need to arrive at 5:45 to help during sound checks and to see what needs to get moved and when. Although backstage, you will be able to see and hear the concert so you can sign up to work on the night of your child’s performance.
Room Monitors-Need 2 for each night. These people need to help in the chorus and band rooms to monitor the children who are not on stage performing. You will not be able to see the concert so this job would be best served by volunteering for the night that your child is not performing.
Bake Sale Helpers-Need 3 people each night. These people will set up the bake sale items and collect money. The bake sale will be open before the concert; parents who help with this can go into the concert once the concert starts. They will need to also be available during intermission. After the concert, they will need to clean up the bake sale.
Bake Sale Bakers-Please bring something for the bake sale. You can send in the goodies with your students during the day. The goodies will be stored in the music room until the performance.
If you can help either night, please contact Ann Horwich (email@example.com) or Susan Apter (firstname.lastname@example.org). If you do not have access to email you can leave a message on the Music Department voicemail (301-517-5590).
